Saint-Paul and Saint-Joseph were two prisons in Lyon, built in he 19th century and closed and put to another use in 2009. Before "collective amnesia" overtook the past of the prisons, artist Ernest Pignon-Ernest and photographer Bruno Paccard recorded through artworks and photographs the buildings and those incarcerated, tortured and executed within their walls.
